Getting started with MARY

Step-by-step guide to installation, pairing, commissioning and maintenance

Download the MARY by sticklett APP

  1. Download the app called
    MARY by sticklett from
    Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
  2. Open it, select your language (German or English) and follow the steps in the app.


Pair the system with the app

  1. Scan the MARY activation code
    When prompted in the app, scan the QR code in the yellow envelope from the packaging (please note: not the one on the back of the station).
  2. Connect
    Then tap ‘Connect’ in the app.
  3. Done
    Please follow the MARY Info Tour and watch the short videos. Once pairing is complete, you’ll be taken to the main screen.

The activation code is saved in the app and can be used to grant access to other devices or people.

How to set up the station

Insert the included stand into the slot on the station.

The station needs energy

To operate MARY, the transmitter/charging station must always be connected to the power supply.

Tip for on the go: Simply connect the station to a power bank.

How to charge the ladybug

  1. Place the ladybird upright in the charging cradle of the connected transmitter/charging station so that the magnet on its head clicks into place.
  2. Wait until the LED glows blue continuously.

Charging takes approx. 90 minutes. The last 3% takes the longest. Please wait until the ladybird has finished charging.

What to do if the LED flashes blue?

Remove the ladybug from the charging cradle, place it next to it for about 1 minute, and then start charging again.

How to attach the ladybug correctly.

The sensor in the ladybird only works reliably with the matching MARY clothing

Always attach the ladybird horizontally and only to the cloverleaf or cloud on the MARY clothing. Make sure that the temperature sensor (on the underside of the ladybird) is positioned exactly over the white circle with a red border.

If the ladybird is attached any other way, you will get inaccurate values.

Press the ladybird gently onto the garment and move it slightly back and forth to ensure it clips on firmly.



How to wash MARY clothes and the ladybird

The clothing is designed for everyday wear and is made from organic cotton or bamboo. You can wash it in the washing machine at 40°C.

Tip: We recommend avoiding higher temperatures and tumble drying, as this causes the velvet sections of MARY to wear out more quickly.

Important: Remove the ladybird from the garment before washing

Wash the ladybird separately, using the washing bag provided to prevent the Velcro from catching on other items of laundry.

Important: Remove the sensor unit first! The sensor is not waterproof.

  1. Attach the ladybird to the loop side of the bag
  2. Turn the bag inside out so that the ladybird is on the inside of the bag
  3. Place the washing bag in the washing machine
  4. We recommend a gentle wash cycle at a maximum of 40 °C
